Pangaea Puddle WaterSki Site
Pangaea Puddle is a water-skier's paradise! The property has two 1900
foot man-made lakes with one set up for 3-events. Nearly record capable,
judging towers and slalom and jump video are installed. Lake bottoms contain
quite a bit of clay, so silt is present and the water provides a soft
skiing experience.

The main lake, 3-event, was built in 1995. It is 1900 feet in usable
length, varies in width from 150 to 300 for the jump cuts and is 6 to
15 feet deep. The jump is a Beamman top, steal frame with all kinds of
extra floatation. (15 kids on it only sinks it a few inches so it's very
firm for jumpers.)
The slalom (upper) lake was built in 2000. It is also 1900 feet long,
150 feet wide, and 8 to 12 feet average depth.
The site has 6 full size soccer fields, a trap/sporting clay lite field,
a sand volley ball court, and two horse shoe pits. Two beaches, picnic
tables and a play house or picnic house support the spectators and provide
fun for kids.
On tournament weekends there is traditionally a dinner and campfire gathering
on Saturday night. Camping has been a favorite past-time for the skiers
and families. A lean-to is available for those wishing to camp without
tents. Outhouses are on-site. Camping trailers with self-contained facilities
are welcome.
Home to the Vosburgh family, George, Trish and the kids welcome the ski
community to share in their dream. |
